The course “Managing a Legal Practice” in Higher School of Economics has been launched. One of the participants Sergey Konovalov kindly agreed to give a brief feedback summary.
The first meeting from the series of seven classes led by Sergey Saveliev and Iryna Nikitina for the students and graduates of Higher School of Economics in frames of intensive training on “Managing A Legal Practice” took place yesterday. It was remarkable! Thank you for the content and unique teaching style. We have talked about possible strategies to founding a legal firm, about legal market, world trends, “service pyramid”, Porter’s five forces and many other business issues. I have accounted the material as useful, systematic, and important. The emotional context of partnership was interesting to touch upon – visualization (NLP-the past shows its face to me occasionally) and life balance. I did not want to leave the class. The most important conclusion that I drew personally have been that building an effective strategy is essential at the very start of doing..whatever, not only business. Then this strategy is to be followed, then measured with qualitative and quantitative indicators. Stayed tuned for the next episodes and feedback!
